Job Description:
Job Purpose :
Represent Test function in multi-discipline agile / SCRUM teams. Thoroughly understand the new product features being implemented in Sprints and be able to devise test strategy for the product areas involved.
Develop Test Designs and Test Cases for new product features as part of the development processes used within the Pegasystems Engineering center in Hyderabad.
Perform code reviews and be able to suggest and influence design decisions.
Automated and Manual test execution for new product features with complete test coverage.
Design and develop the required Test frameworks and tools to automate the in-sprint testing for Scrum teams.
Test the product using real world scenarios by using existing apps and by developing new ones.
Functional Expertise :
Required :
4 to 7 years of experience in software development or in an SDET (software development in Test) kind of role.
Inclined to work as part of highly motivated and innovative Test engineering team and contribute in achieving the business, technical and operational goals of the company.
Software risk management, root cause analysis and defect diagnosis techniques.
Ability to translate functional requirements into detailed test design scenarios and test cases.
Ability to prioritize defects. PRPC System Architect Certification needs to be attained within 6 months of taking this position.
Desired :
Implementation experience working with companies in BPM, CRM or Workflow automation space.
Prior experience in manual or automated testing.
Technical Expertise :
It is required to have hands-on experience in at least ONE of the following areas though it is desired to have knowledge in more than one area
Strong Proficiency in OOPS, Java, and XML.
Strong knowledge and experience with Web based applications and testing using browsers.
Experience with Test automation and performance engineering tools like QTP, Load runner etc.
Exposure to Web-Services, WSDL, SOAP, MQ, JMS, Configuration and troubleshooting Integration Services deployments within large scale distributed organizations.
Experienced with IDE (Eclipse), Tomcat/Websphere/Weblogic, Oracle/MSSQL/DB2 and related tools.
Strong Knowledge and experience in one or more Relational Databases; SQL-Server, Oracle and DB2.
Ability to test XML based Java APIs involving complex algorithms and product core engine frameworks involving caching and cluster scenarios.
Knowledge of Application Security, Vulnerability Assessments and Code Scan tools.
Knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX and related toolkits.
Experience in testing complex product APIs, JUnit testing, core product engines, clustered scenarios, SAAS model etc.,
Knowledge of industry specifications for WSDL, SOAP and WS and tools like SOAPUI Pro
Knowledge of Search techniques and related algorithms; encryption algorithms.
