Amazon Fulfillment Services is looking for a motivated individual with analytical skills and project management experience to join our Inbound Business Team. In this position you will be responsible for managing programs which improve the flow of materials and information from Amazons vendors into our Fulfillment Centers and other downstream systems. As a member of the Inbound Business Team, you will act as a project manager for several inbound logistics and information technology projects working cross functionally with Operations, S&OP, Transportation, Technology, and the Vendors to accomplish key improvement initiatives. You will have the opportunity to do deep dive analyses that support key projects, developing the knowledge of data gathering and navigating the vast Amazon data warehouse.
You will be required to support continuous improvement of our existing inbound supply chain and metrics while simultaneously thinking big and driving cross functional longer term initiatives that will reshape our interaction with our vendors and sellers. To be successful in this role you need to have the experience and flexibility to work with cross functional teams in a matrix organization. Written and verbal communication skills are a must in order to define high level business requirements for building software systems.
Basic Qualification :
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or Engineering and 3+ years of supply chain related experience or Master's Degree in the above subjects and 1+ years of supply chain related experience
Familiarity with Supply Chain Management concepts (forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics)
2+ years experience of working in cross-functional programs, ideally including external and internal stakeholders
2+ years of experience as a business analyst or related (conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of impact business reporting)
Preferred Qualifications :
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, Perl, UNIX/LINUX, Visual Basic or other programming languages.
Experience communicating with Sr. Management, i.e. Directors, VPs and key decision makers
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma analytical techniques is a plus
