Executive Trainees Engineer : in the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, Electronics, Recruitment trough GATE-2014,
Age : 27 years as on 18/01/2014,
Qualification : Engineering degree in the relevant branch with minimum 65% marks.,
Pay Scale : Rs.24900-3%-50500.
Candidates interested in joining NTPC as Executive Trainee Engineers in 2014 – 15 are required to appear in GATE – 2014. Interested candidates who have passed the eligibility qualification can apply online at NTPC website after obtaining the registration number for GATE-2014.
GATE 2014 : Candidates need to apply for GATE-2014 and get GATE registration number from 02/09/2013 to 01/10/2013. The GATE will be conducted from 01/02/2014 and 02/03/2014. For more information and online submission of GATE application, please visit http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate2014/ website.
SELECTION PROCESS : Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014. Based on the GATE-2014 MARKS and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks in GD & Interview, before being considered in the merit list.

*. For detailed information on GATE-2014, interested candidates may log on to www.gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate2014 or on the websites of other IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
*. Candidates need to apply Online for GATE as per the information provided on the websites. They should wait for the admit card to get the GATE registration number
*. The candidates will receive their GATE-2014 Registration Number printed on their admit card. On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply On-line for NTPC ET- 2014 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 20.12.2013 to 18.01.2014.
*. Candidate belonging to General/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 150/-. The SC / ST / PWD category candidate need not pay the registration fee.
*. State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a specially opened account (No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC.
